No mobile app availableIs LoneStar Casino legit?
Yes, it is. While LoneStar doesn’t have a license, the fact that this is not an online casino means it doesn’t need a license. Instead, LoneStar just needs to comply with sweepstakes regulations to operate in the US, and it does that well. The sweeps casino operates a no-purchase-necessary site, and it makes use of virtual currencies for gameplay, rather than real money, which is a clear indication that it embodies the concept of a sweepstakes casino.
In addition to the fact that this platform does not mandate that players make GC purchases, the platform uses SSL encryption to ensure that you’re kept safe from attackers, which is similar to how some of the best sweepstakes casinos in USA work.
How LoneStar Casino operates
Before going into other aspects of this review, like how easy it is to use the site, its promotions, customer support, and other relevant aspects, it’ll help if you first understand how LoneStar operates. As earlier stated, you don’t use real money to play games on this platform; rather, you make use of virtual currencies.
LoneStar operates with two virtual currencies, namely Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Gold Coins are the virtual currency that is used for social play on the platform, while Sweeps Coins are meant for promotional play. To help you understand this better, here’s a table showing the distinct differences between these virtual currencies.
| Gold Coins (GC) | Sweeps Coins (SC) |
|---|---|
| This is used strictly for social play | You use this for promotional play |
| You can purchase this directly on the platform. | You can only get free SC virtual coins when you make an optional Gold Coin purchase or through bonuses |
| You cannot redeem GC for prizes. | SC are redeemable for prizes |
Is the LoneStar website easy to use?
To start with, LoneStar has a large area of its background and interface covered in grey color, with games in green boxes and a few parts in green and white color. It’s unlike what you’ll find in some of the best social casinos in the US. Usually, you’ll find a multicolored interface that can be quite noisy, but LoneStar goes straight to the point and doesn’t litter its interface with a lot of colors.
LoneStar has a simple interface with games arranged in a well-structured library. Finding them is easy, especially with the help of the search and filter tool.
If you’re the type of player that prefers playing using a mobile app, then you should know that LoneStar does not have a traditional mobile app that you can download on an iOS or Android device. The closest you can get to a mobile app is when you add the site to your homepage using your browser.
Other than the fact that there’s no LoneStar Casino app, everything works fine, and you’ll likely not experience any glitches using the site or have any issues finding games on the platform.

LoneStar bonus for new players
In order to allow you to play for free, LoneStar has several promotions in place to ensure that you keep getting free virtual currencies. It begins from the moment you register. For registering, you’ll be given 100,000 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweeps Coins as a welcome bonus. The good part is that you don’t need a LoneStar Casino promo code to claim the bonus. It’s usually credited after completing registration.
SC winnings from the bonus you get can also be redeemed for prizes once you meet the playthrough requirement and you have up to the minimum amount of redeemable SC. Here are more details about the welcome bonus.
| Bonus type | Bonus amount |
|---|---|
| Welcome bonus | 100K Gold Coins + 2.5 SC FREE |
Terms & conditions
- No purchase is required to claim the welcome bonus.
- You need to register to claim the bonus.
- The bonus has a 1x playthrough requirement before SC redemption.
- The minimum SC redemption threshold also applies to this bonus.
Is there a LoneStar no deposit bonus?
The simple answer to this question is no. You won’t find a sweepstakes casino no deposit bonus on this platform, and that’s because real money is not used for gameplay. What you’ll find on LoneStar Casino is the no-purchase bonus of 100k GC, and 2.5 SC that was explained earlier.
Other types of bonuses you can claim on LoneStar Casino
Claiming bonuses doesn’t end after you receive the welcome bonus. In fact, that’s just the starting point because there are lots of other bonuses available on the platform. There are those you get to claim daily, weekly, or occasionally. Let’s go over them.
Daily login bonus
This bonus is available to be claimed on the platform every single day. Unlike other platforms that may show you their sweepstakes casino daily login bonus list for several days to motivate you to come back daily, LoneStar only shows you what you’ll get if you come back the following day, which is enough motivation. For context, you may be getting 2k GC, 0.2 SC, and 30 XP for your first day, and you get 8k GC, 0.4 SC, and 40 XP for the second day if you don’t break the streak
If you’re interested in claiming this bonus, all you have to do is log in every day, and it'll be waiting for you. This bonus is one of the most sought-after on most sweepstakes casinos, and that’s because it doesn’t require too much effort. Plus, it’s proven to be one of the easiest ways to stack up GC and free SC.
Referral bonus
Not too many players focus on this kind of bonus, but it’s one of the best ways to get free SC on LoneStar and on other sweepstakes sites like High 5 Casino. The way this works is that LoneStar rewards you for bringing new players to their site. The reward for a single referral is up to 200k GC and 70 free SC.
Before you get too excited, here’s how the reward is distributed. When you invite a new player to LoneStar using your unique referral link, and they make an optional Gold Coin package purchase that’s up to $15, you unlock the first level of the reward. The second level is unlocked after the referred friend makes an optional Gold Coins purchase that’s up to $500.
What makes this even more interesting is that there's no limit to the number of people you can invite. So, if you want free virtual currencies, you may want to consider referring someone.
Mail-in request
If you’re familiar with how sweepstakes casinos operate, then you know this type of bonus is expected to be present on LoneStar. How this works is that you have to send a handwritten request directly to LoneStar's official address, and they reward you with free SC. Just keep in mind that there’s a format for this type of request, and it can be found in the sweeps rules of the platform.
Social media giveaway
One other way LoneStar gives free virtual currencies is through participating in social media giveaways. You’ll usually find this offer on their Facebook, Instagram, and X pages.
Unlike some of the other promotions where you’re sure you’ll get a reward for participating, LoneStar's social media giveaway isn’t like that. It’s not certain, but at the same time, you get a fair chance to compete for the bonus. For this type of promotion, you may be required to share a post, make a comment, or answer a game-related question.
LoneStar’s loyalty program
LoneStar runs a 7-tier loyalty program that starts from Bronze level up to Master level. Every new player starts at the Bronze level, and as you log in daily, play games with Sweeps Coins, and make optional Gold Coins pack purchases, you are rewarded with points and move up VIP rank. The higher your VIP rank, the better the bonuses that you get to enjoy. Here are the VIP levels on the platform and the perks they come with.
| Tier Name | Criteria | VIP Gets |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | XP required: 0 | Daily bonus |

Redeeming Sweeps Coins on LoneStar
Before talking about the options available for prize redemption, you should note that LoneStar does not allow players to redeem bonus SC immediately after they get them. Before you can redeem SC for prizes on this platform, you need to fulfill the following requirements.
- Playthrough requirement: Every SC must be played through at least once before they become eligible for redemption. The good part is that you get to choose the games you want to play them with.
- Verification requirement: Before your request for prize redemption is processed, you’ll need to submit an identity document for verification. LoneStar will require this to be sure that you’re not underage and to comply with local laws.
- Minimum redeemable SC: On LoneStar, you can redeem a minimum of 45 SC using gift card options, but if you're redeeming cash prizes, you need to have at least 100 eligible SC.
Once you’ve met the above-stated requirements, you can redeem Sweeps Coins without any issue. Below are the options available for prize redemption and their limits.
| Options | Minimum limit |
|---|---|
| Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer | 100 SC |
| Gift cards | 45 SC |

LoneStar customer support: How reliable they are
Most players only think about customer support when they run into issues, but it’s one of the things to consider when selecting a sweepstakes casino. For LoneStar, they have a detailed FAQ section where you’ll find answers to questions relating to payment, account, verification, login, game, and technical issues. You’ll also find email support on the platform, but there’s no live chat support.
Because priority is given first to customers with VIP rank from Gold up to Master level, getting a response via email may take a few hours. If you have urgent inquiries, your first point of contact should be the FAQ section. If you can’t find answers to your inquiries, you may then opt for the email support option.
