Conscious Gaming Enhances PlayPause Self-Exclusion Tool

G2E week provides a constant barrage of news. From the panels to the showroom floor to the timed press releases. One bit of information that caught my attention was a collaboration between Conscious Gaming, IXUP, and GeoComply that, as the press release states, creates “a next-generation technology solution to help facilitate safe and responsible gambling for industry stakeholders while also strengthening betting integrity.”

It will do this by enhancing Conscious Gaming’s multi-state self-exclusion tool, PlayPause. Presently, PlayPause has been adopted by the state of Pennsylvania through a partnership with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, along with multiple operators. The company is engaging with other regulatory agencies to take the self-exclusion tool national.

What the Principles are Saying

A Look Inside the Collaboration

Per the press release, “The Collaboration will provide market-leading encryption-based security and scalability to GeoComply’s “PlayPause” Multi-State Self-Exclusion product, by incorporating IXUP’s secure data collaboration technology and associated capabilities.”

This will keep impermissible bettors (players, coaches, their families, and other prohibited bettors) from placing bets.

According to the press release:

Conscious Gaming and GeoComply… have agreed to a Pilot Collaboration Agreement with IXUP Limited… that will leverage IXUP’s secure database collaboration technologies in the US online gaming and sports wagering markets to support sports integrity and deliver self-exclusion capabilities across platforms and jurisdictions throughout the US.

The highlights of the agreement, as laid out in the press release, are:
