DraftKings Sportsbook is now live in Indiana.
Yesterday, the Indiana Gaming Commission issued a Mobile Go Live Authorization notice clearing the way for DraftKings to commence online betting starting Thursday.
BetRivers received a similar notice last week and was also given a target date of October 3rd. This means Hoosiers have their choice of two mobile sportsbooks from day one. BetRivers and DraftKings are both officially live in Indiana.
The DraftKings Indiana authorization reads similarly to the one issued last week for BetRivers. The authorization order explains DraftKings has “substantially demonstrated” it meets all requirements of mobile operators under Indiana sports betting law, Gaming Commission regulations and Gaming Commission directives.

DraftKings Ready to Tackle the Indiana Market
DraftKings Sportsbook is active in multiple states already, including in New Jersey where it accounts for a large portion of the state’s mobile betting market. DraftKings is likely to emerge as a strong competitor early on owing to an existing database of fantasy customers, slick software and name recognition.
The Indiana Gaming Commission issued a temporary sports betting vendor license to DraftKings last month but held off on issuing go-live authorizations until approved operators could demonstrate compliance with all Indiana laws and regulations.
In a press release issued today, DraftKings co-founder and Matt Kalish said this:
“DraftKings could not be more thrilled to expand our national reach as states continue to open the market for legalized sports betting. Since our sportsbook product launched in 2018, we have made it our number-one priority to provide sports fans with a responsible place to wager on a superior and technologically advanced sports-betting platform.
“With Indiana becoming the latest state to offer legalized online and mobile sports betting, we are excited to provide the top-rated sportsbook app to some of the nation’s most passionate and dedicated sports fans.”
DraftKings Indiana FAQs
Indiana is the third state in which DraftKings has launched online sports betting to date and the company has it down to a simple process now. The odds are any question you have has already been asked and answered before. Below are key questions and answers for getting started.
Which devices does DraftKings Sportsbook support?
DraftKings supports iOS, Android and desktop users alike.

iOS users can also visit the App Store and search for “DraftKings Sportsbook” to download the official betting app. A single app is used for all states, so you do not need to search for an Indiana-specific app.
Android users must visit DraftKings.com for a direct download link to the official app. Google does not list gambling apps in the Play Store, so you will need to download the app straight from the DraftKings website.
Desktop users can visit DraftKings.com to bet online through any web browser. Mobile users may also visit the website to place wagers without downloading the app.
How do I sign up for an account?
Signing up is designed to be as hassle-free as possible. Once you have the app on your mobile device or are at the website on your desktop, you can click or tap the “sign up” button to register an account.
You’ll be asked for your name, address, SSN and other personal information as required by state law. All licensed betting apps in Indiana are required to collect this information and ensure all customers are eligible to wager online.
Can I use my existing DraftKings Fantasy account?
Yes. If you already have a DraftKings Fantasy account, you can simply log in with your existing username and password. DraftKings Sportsbook may ask a few additional questions in order to remain compliant with Indiana sports betting laws regarding identity verification.
Can I transfer money from my fantasy balance to my sportsbook balance?
Yes, with a caveat.
You may transfer fantasy winnings to your sportsbook balance, but you may not deposit to your fantasy balance and then immediately use those same funds to bet on sports.
If you deposit $20 into your fantasy balance, for example, you’ll need to enter $20 worth of fantasy contests before using that money in the sportsbook.
Which deposit methods does DraftKings Indiana accept?
You can see which options are available by logging in to your sportsbook account and tapping the green deposit button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
DraftKings Sportsbook accepts a handful of deposit methods:
