New Jersey gamblers have one more option in the growing online gaming market. After opening its doors in real life last week, the Hard Rock Online Casino is now taking wagers online at HardRockCasino.com.
After an initial beta-testing phase, Hard Rock Casino Online is open for business to customers 21 and up located in New Jersey. You can test the demo-play games from out of state, but all real money play is restricted to within state lines as is the case for all NJ casino sites. Hard Rock is fully functional with all devices – PCs, Macs and mobile.
The new Hard Rock Online offers customers the full gaming experience with online slots, table games, video poker and instant win games. No live-dealer games are live as of today, but the website does mention live dealer games and even explains players will be able to watch the games and bet-behind if all seats are full.
As far as slots go, Hard Rock Online came right out the gate with a large collection consisting of exactly 175 unique slots from all sorts of software providers. Some of the bigger software developers that have a presence here include NetEnt, IGT, SG Interactive and NYX. I also found a game from Side City Studios.
New customers are greeted with a 100% deposit bonus worth up to $1,000 plus 50 free spins awarded in chunks as you complete the signup process. Ongoing customer rewards also look to be a something Hard Rock will be investing in as the website already explains players can earn Rock Coins while playing and redeem them for goods from the loyalty store, bonuses and other perks including “backstage, red carpet exclusives at Hard Rock Casino Atlantic City.”
Win Free Spins for a Year
New Jersey’s latest online casino is starting things off with a bang, as you’d expect from the Hard Rock. Between now and July 12th, the players who play the most real money games at Hard Rock will be eligible to win free spins for a year.
As you play games at Hard Rock online, you automatically earn Hard Rock Coins as a part of the customer loyalty program. At the end of the promotion on July 12th, the top 20 players who earned the most Hard Rock Coins win 10 free spins every day for a year.
Everyone else who plays between now and then but doesn’t make it to the top 20 will still be entered into a drawing to win some serious bonus money. After the top 20 players have earned their free spins for a year, Hard Rock Casino will hold a drawing and randomly select 100 players to win the following bonuses:
- Top prize: $1,250 in bonus funds
- Second prize: $750 in bonus funds
- Third prize: $400 in bonus funds
- Fourth prize: $175 in bonus funds
- Fifth prize: $75 in bonus funds
- 6 through 20th prizes: $50 in bonus funds
- 21 through 100th prizes: $20 in bonus funds
You can take a shot at winning free spins for a year or any of the above bonuses by signing up for an account, opting in to the promotion and playing real money games at HardRockCasino.com.
Hard Rock AC and Ocean Resort Casino Also Opened Last Week
New Jersey gained two new brick-and-mortar casinos last week as well. Hard Rock’s physical casino and Ocean Resort both held grand openings on Thursday to replace two shuttered casinos.
The Hard Rock takes over for the former Trump Taj Mahal after a $500 million renovation complete with a 60-foot-tall statue of the Hard Rock’s iconic guitar. Ocean Resort, meanwhile, is taking the place of the ill-fated Revel Casino that shut down in 2014. Both buildings underwent massive renovations ahead of their grand openings last week.
Hard Rock AC will be scheduling live entertainment 365 days a year, running a comedy club and nearly 20 other food and drink spots covering everything from fine dining to a Sugar Factory sweet shop. This is in addition to 2100 slot machines and 120 table games. Hard Rock officials also stated they plan to open a sportsbook but have not yet issued a firm timeline on that.
Ocean Resort Casino now occupies the tallest building in Atlantic City with nearly 1400 rooms, 18 dining options, more than 2100 slot machines, 120 table games and a functional sportsbook run by William Hill. Ocean Resort does not yet have an online presence, but the website does state they have an online casino opening soon.
