While the NFL was notoriously known for opposing sports betting in the past, the league has changed its tune. Over the past few years, as sports betting becomes more prevalent in the United States, the NFL is getting involved. This week marked a huge milestone for the league as four major companies signed sportsbook operator deals.

The NFL named BetMGM, WynnBET, PointsBet, and FOX Bet as approved sportsbook operators ahead of the upcoming season. With the deal, each operator can purchase units for in-game commercials along with other NFL media options.

New NFL Betting Partnership Deals

The approved operators now join three other companies that have teamed up with the NFL. The league started with Caesars Entertainment, FanDuel, and DraftKings before giving the green light to the other four operators. The first three companies have five-year deals with the league and are considered Official Sports Betting Partners.

Nana-Yaw Asamoah, NFL Vice President of Business Development commented that the league is pleased to announce the approved operators right before the new professional football season begins.

“This group of operators will help the League to engage fans in responsible and innovative ways this season as the sports betting landscape continues to evolve.”

During the upcoming NFL season, sports fans are sure to see even more ads from these operators thanks to the newly signed agreements. Each of the partner operators has agreed to adhere to the core integrity policies of the NFL. The operators will share information and advocacy efforts, supporting the responsible gambling efforts of the league. Each of the sports betting operators will use Official League Data from the NFL. The league’s provider is Genius Sports.

BetMGM Launches Jamie Foxx Commercial Spot

As BetMGM celebrates the new approval, the company is also ready to release its new ad campaign featuring actor and comedian Jamie Foxx. BetMGM announced a new national ad campaign featuring Foxx, providing insight into what the brand delivers to customers.

The new commercial campaign will air on September 9 on NBC. BetMGM will feature the ad during the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers kickoff game. As the season progresses, the commercial will air on NBC and CBS.

Titled “Win Like a King”, the new commercial uses the enthusiasm of Foxx to show sports bettors how to win with the King of Sportsbooks, BetMGM. Along with the ad, BetMGM is also offering players special deals, including the King of the Weekend promotion.

King of the Weekend is a weekly game that is free to play. Sports fans compete for $50,000 in prize money by choosing the top six scoring NFL teams in the correct order for the weekend. If the full total is not predicted correctly, the player who makes the most correct predictions earns $1,000 in prize money.

It is interesting to note the celebrity ambassadors tied to sports betting brands. While BetMGM works with Jamie Foxx, WynnBET recently signed a deal with Shaquille O’Neal. The former NBA star serves as a strategic consultant and Brand Ambassador for WynnBET, going so far as to divest his ownership in the Sacramento Kings in order to become a WynnBet investor.
