Novig Review
Novig is a legal, CFTC-regulated sports prediction market app available in 47 states (everywhere except Arizona, Michigan, and Nevada) to customers 21 and older.
As the name suggests, the Novig app provides competitive pricing by never building vigorish into its lines. Instead, Novig makes money by charging a commission on certain types of trades. Even by prediction market standards, Novig offers some of the most competitive pricing weโve seen anywhere, with zero trading fees on pre-game straight trades.
Read on for our full Novig review. Below, we cover how the exchange works, the complete fee schedule, the $25 new member bonus, and how Novig.com compares to other prediction markets.

Novig Bonus Details
Novig welcomes new customers with $25 in trade credits after a first deposit of $10 or more, with no promo code necessary. If you donโt already have an account, you can claim this offer in four steps:
- Sign up for a Novig account
- Complete identity verification
- Link a payment method
- Make a first deposit of at least $10
Compared to other prediction market bonuses, the Novig offer is roughly average in dollar amount and above average in user-friendly terms.
Most notably, the Novig.com bonus comes with no additional trading requirements, and proceeds from trade credit profits settle in your account as ordinary, withdrawable funds.
That said, there are some important caveats worth noting:
- Novig issues the bonus as five separate $5 trade credits
- Each trade credit applies to a single trade; if you apply a $5 credit to a $3 trade, the unused $2 credit is forfeited
- You may only use trade credits on contracts priced between $0.01 and $0.60, so theyโre not compatible with heavy favorites
- Trade credits work on take orders only (make orders excluded)
- Any unused trade credits expire 30 days after receipt
Other Novig Promos
In addition to the new customer offer, Novig runs various promotions open to both new and existing users. Two longstanding Novig promos include a referral bonus and an opt-in monthly rewards program.
Novig Refer-a-Friend Program
Existing Novig users can refer their friends for a $25 referral credit.
Whenever someone uses your unique referral link (found in the Rewards tab or your Profile page when logged in) to sign up for an account and deposits $10 or more, theyโll receive the standard Novig welcome bonus, and youโll get a $25 referral credit.
To be eligible to earn Novig referral bonuses, you must first reach three milestones:
- Complete at least five trades
- Reach $50 in lifetime trading volume
- Deposit at least $10
Novig Points Program
Novig Points is a tiered, opt-in loyalty program. As you trade, you earn Novig Points that determine your monthly tier and unlock increasingly valuable rewards.
All traders who have opted in begin at the โStarterโ level and advance from there through the programโs five tiers:
- Starter
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Obsidian
Advancing to new tiers rewards such as trade credits, deposit match offers, themed share slips, and a share of a monthly cash pool.
There are four ways to earn points:
- Trading Parlays: 10 points per $1 risked on eligible parlays (priced at $0.50 per contract or lower) that do not finish as pushes or voids
- Placing Make Orders: 1 point per $1 of filled make-order volume, capped at 5,000 points per market; unfilled orders earn nothing, and orders that fill instantly against existing liquidity count as take orders
- Daily Drop Challenges: 25 points for each of three daily challenges, plus a 25-point bonus for completing all three
- Monthly Challenges: Earn 25, 50, and 100 at each of three checkpoints during monthly trading challenges; you must opt in to monthly challenges and manually claim your points at each checkpoint
Monthly tier totals reset on the first day of each month. Any intra-month rewards you receive expire seven days after receipt, so make sure to use them quickly.
Overall, the Novig loyalty program provides real value because it costs nothing to participate but still delivers tangible rewards.
The primary question is whether youโll accumulate points quickly enough to care. Itโs possible to advance through the first couple of tiers through Daily Drops and Monthly Challenges alone, but parlays and make orders are the only realistic ways to advance to the higher tiers for more meaningful rewards.
Additionally, itโs hard to compare the Novig rewards program to other prediction market loyalty schemes because everything other than the points earn rate is subject to change.
As the programโs terms state, the monthly cash pool, rewards associated with each tier, and the number of points required to reach each tier are all โannounced by notice on the Novig website.โ
How Novig Works
Novig is a CFTC-regulated prediction market platform that allows users to trade event contracts based on sports outcomes. All Novig prediction markets occur between users who take opposite positions on what will happen in a game (or games).
Each contract represents a specific outcome such as:
- The LA Dodgers to win the game outright
- The Dallas Cowboys to cover a 3.5-point spread
- A specific player to record more than 1.5 hits
Every position is an even contract priced between $0 and $1 that settles at $1.00 if your outcome occurs and $0 if it does not. Hereโs a real example from a past Novig market:

In the screenshot above, we considered backing the Seattle Mariners to beat the spread against the Boston Red Sox, with the price indicating that the market had collectively assigned the Mariners a roughly 35.5% chance to win by more than 1.5 runs. A $5 take order at that price would have returned a total payout of $14.08 on a Mariners cover for a net profit of $9.08.
Novig Sports Markets
Novig is a sports-only exchange, so you wonโt find political markets, crypto predictions, or weather contracts here. Depending on the season, Novig.com covers the following sports/leagues:
- Baseball: MLB, college baseball, World Baseball Classic
- Basketball: NBA, WNBA, menโs and womenโs college basketball
- Football: NFL, college football, CFL
- Golf: PGA Tour
- Hockey: NHL
- MMA: UFC
- Tennis: ATP and WTA
Market depth is strong for the major US leagues. For example, Novig NFL market types include moneylines, spreads, totals, 1st half lines/totals, team totals, player props, playoff futures, conference/division winners, Super Bowl champions, and player season awards.
Novig Parlays
Novig supports parlay-style combo contracts that combine multiple outcomes into singular contracts.
The key rule is that every leg must hit for combination contracts to win. If you get just a single outcome wrong, your combination contracts settle at $0. If you get every outcome correct, your contracts settle at $1 each.
Submitting orders for parlays is straightforward:
- Select two or more eligible outcomes
- Open the order slip
- Switch from singles to parlays
- Review the combined price and potential payout
- Enter an amount and place the order
Novig includes fees into parlay price quotes, so the displayed price is exactly what you pay. Itโs worth noting that not only do parlays have higher fees than straight trades, but they also have more restrictions:
- Thereโs no way to cancel a parlay order once submitted
- You cannot cash out parlays
- Parlays do not qualify for Early Payouts or Maker Credits
- Parlays are only available as take orders
In short, Novig parlays are locked in once you confirm the order. The Novig Points sweetener helps, but treat parlays as hold-to-settlement positions.
Novig Deposits and Withdrawals
Novig supports several deposit methods organized into two tiers: free and standard.
Free deposit methods (no fees):
- Bank transfer (via Stripe and Aeropay)
- Stablecoin (USDC or USDT via Coinflow)
Standard pricing deposit methods (3% fee):
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover)
- Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover)
- Apple Pay
Customers can choose from three methods to withdraw funds:
- Bank transfer
- Debit card
- Venmo
There is no minimum withdrawal amount or trade-through requirement: deposited and settled funds are equally withdrawable at any time. The two things that can hold up withdrawals are incomplete identity verification and funds that are tied up in open positions.
Novig processes most withdrawal requests within a few minutes. However, Novig openly states that its automated systems flag some withdrawals for manual compliance reviews. In those cases, Novig usually completes the review within 24 hours (up to 48 hours during high-volume periods).
Novig App Review
The Novig app aims for intuitiveness and focuses purely on sports, so users will find it easy to understand and navigate. Generally, new users can expect to see a league navigation menu across the top of the home screen, trending games front and center, and popular combinations posted near the top of every page.
Inside each gameโs market listing, tabs organize contracts by categories like โMain Markets,โ โBatter Props,โ โ1st Quarter,โ and so on.
The Order Slip
Tapping a price adds that market to the order slip, where you can input an amount to risk, switch between take or make orders, and view additional information, including:
- Your account balance
- The chosen market and its current price
- The underlying gameโs start time, team abbreviations, and league
- Novig Points bonus (when submitting parlay or make orders)
- Total potential payout if the game ends in your favor
The Take/Make toggle is the smartest thing on the order slip screen. Exchange functionality appears only when you flip it to โMake,โ which keeps the default view uncluttered for casual fans while leaving the orderbook tools one tap away for everyone else. Tap the small book icon near the bottom of the slip to pull up the live order book.
Novig Customer Support
Customers can contact Novigโs support team through the app or website relatively easily once logged in.
Additionally, Novigโs support knowledge base is detailed enough to be genuinely helpful for straightforward questions about topics like deposit methods, trading rules, and promotions.
Available contact/help methods include:
- Live chat
- Discord community
Novig social media accounts:
Novig.com Responsible Trading
Novig provides one of the most comprehensive responsible trading toolsets among sports prediction markets. Customers can use the following account-level controls to set custom limits, take breaks, or self-exclude entirely if necessary:
- Deposit Limits: Daily, weekly, or monthly
- Order Limits: Daily, weekly, or monthly
- Time Out: Suspend your account for one day to six months
- Permanent Account Closure: Send an e-mail to support@novig.co with the subject line โCLOSE MY ACCOUNTโ
Users can set limits in the Novig app or on the website by logging in, opening the โAccountโ menu, and selecting โTrading Limits,โ or by submitting a request via live chat.
Novig FAQ
Final Thoughts: Is Novig Legit?
From a legitimacy standpoint, Novig checks all the main boxes one would expect from a serious prediction market operator.
Novig discloses detailed trading rules and operates through a CFTC-designated exchange. Additionally, Novig has secured significant funding from institutional investors, including Pantera Capital, Forerunner Ventures, and Lux Capital.
The company also has a publicly verifiable history. Harvard classmates Jacob Fortinsky and Kelechi Ukah founded Novig in 2021. They first launched Novig as a licensed Colorado sports betting exchange in 2023 but later pivoted to a social sportsbook model to expand into more states.
In early 2026, Novig applied for federal contract market designation under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The CFTC granted Novigโs underlying exchange (Ludlow Exchange) DCM status in June 2026, and Novig launched nationwide a short time later, reporting more than $6 billion in cumulative trading volume.
Ultimately, the decision comes down to whether Novig fits your needs.
Sports fans who trade frequently will struggle to beat $0 pregame fees, cheap in-play trading, and cash back for posting liquidity. However, if you want to trade in non-sports markets like crypto and politics or heavy parlay action, youโll want to either pair Novig with another platform or skip it entirely.
