Unibet was a legal and licensed online sportsbook that operated in several states. The Unibet brand dates to the late 90s, making it one of the most established mobile sportsbook operators on the planet.
However, Unibet was unable to penetrate the US market to any significant degree and no longer operates in the United States. BettingUSA will leave this review up for research purposes, but we will no longer update this review.

Unibet Sportsbook Bonus Offer
Unibet has pared back its welcome bonus, but it’s still well worth taking advantage of because it refunds new customers their first wager with a bonus bet if it loses.
In addition, the Unibet second chance bet welcome offer varies by state:

Each customer’s first bet qualifies, and the initial wager must lose for new users to receive refunds.
In states where Unibet offers a bonus bet, new users must wager a minimum of $10 on any sports market to claim the offer.
The refund is paid in the form of bonus cash and has a monetary value equal to the amount of the initial wager (up to $250 – $500). There is no bonus code associated with this offer.
A read-through of the terms and conditions attached to the offer reveals nothing concerning. Customers may use their bonus funds on any type of wager with minimum odds of -300 or higher (e.g. -250, -110, +200, etc.) and may withdraw any winnings obtained by doing so.
Note: unlike other sportsbooks, Unibet does not pay out its refunds as bonus bets. That’s good news for bettors, as wagers placed with bonus bets do not return the initial stake. Contrarily, wagers placed with bonus funds return both the initial stake and any profits.
Other Unibet Sports Betting Promotions
Ongoing sportsbook promotions at Unibet change regularly in line with the sport of the season. Below is a sampling of the type of offers Unibet users can expect to see:
- Level Up Parlay Boosts: This is perhaps Unibet’s most unique promotions. Bettors receive unlimited profit boosts on their parlays with a maximum stake of $100. The boost percentage rises with the number of parlay legs. Profits on a 3-leg parlay are only boosted 4%, but 6-leggers are boosted 16%, and those brave enough to place a 12-leg parlay will receive a generous 50% boost.
- Odds Boosts: Unibet offers daily odds boosts on select markets. The most commonly boosted bets are parlays and props. Unfortunately, Unibet odds boosts do not display the original price, so bettors will need to do their homework to determine the odds boost’s value.
- Happy Hour Boosts: These “super” boosts are only available during select times, and are usually centered around local betting markets. For example, PA bettors might receive an odds boost on the Philadelphia Phillies, while IN bettors may receive a boost on the Indianapolis Colts.
- Loyalty Bonuses: Bettors who place five or more live bets per week or at least $10 at minimum -300 odds will receive a $10 bonus.
- Weekly Deposit Reload: Every Thursday, Unibet offers a 25% deposit bonus worth up to $100 to customers who reload their accounts (Casino only).
Occasionally, Unibet will roll out big-money promotions. For instance, it once offered a $100K Parlay promo, where users who placed a 6-leg parlay for $10 or more qualified for a $100,000 prize if every leg in their parlay won by a 9.5-point margin on top of the regular spread.
Admittedly, the odds of qualifying are extremely low, but that’s why the payout was so large.
Unibet Refer-A-Friend Program
Available in AZ, IA, IN, PA, and VA
As part of its player acquisition strategy, Unibet is offering existing bettors bonus cash for referring their friends to the app.
In order to refer-a-friend at Unibet Sportsbook:
- Navigate to the Main Menu (top right hand corner of the Unibet betting app)
- Scroll to “Refer-a-Friend” and open the drop-down menu
- Click or tap “Invite Friends to Play”
- Copy or joy down your unique referral code, and send it out to friends via email, text, or social media.
For every friend that registers using your unique code, makes an initial deposit of $50, and wagers at least $50, both the referrer and referred friend will receive a bonus.

The Unibet betting interface is similar to other online sportsbooks, with a list of leagues along the left side and all available wagers displayed prominently in the middle of the screen.
The desktop Unibet website uses a three-column display showing leagues in the far-left column, individual games in the second column from the left, and wagers for the selected game in the middle for quick navigation. For context, Unibet had in-play betting markets for one NFL game, seven NBA games, seven MLB games, two esports competitions, four tennis matches, and four soccer games on the day BettingUSA published this review.
The in-play interface provides live stats, scoring data, and animated graphics to simulate what’s happening on the field or court. For example, Unibet includes a game tracker for all NFL games showing current yardage and the outcome of every play. Similarly, the soccer game tracker shows who has the ball, who’s attacking, and other stats.
Depending on the event, Unibet may provide more detailed live updates. For example, the game tracker for a high-profile game might not just show who has possession but also where the ball is on the field at all times as it moves from one player to the next.
In-play betting options include standard game outcome wagers, game totals, next team to score, and extra-short-term wagers Unibet files under the “Action Betting” category. Action betting markets typically resolve within 60 seconds and deal with things like the outcome of the next at-bat in a baseball game or play in an NFL game.
One small change Unibet could make to significantly improve the in-play betting experience would be to add a calendar of upcoming events. It is frustrating to visit the in-play area and find no indication of whether Unibet will offer live betting for a specific game. Unibet covers all major games by default, but it would be better if it provided a full calendar of upcoming events.
