WatchandWager is one of the newer horse and greyhound racing sites to go live in the United States. The website is operated by Webis Holdings, PLC and has obtained licenses to offer its services to most states in the US. Despite being fairly new to the market, WatchandWager.com has moved quickly to expand its offerings to more states. Read our detailed WatchandWager review.
WatchandWager is a straightforward racing betting website that is both easy to use and dependable. It may not have as many flashy features as other betting sites, but that makes it perfect for horseplayers who just want to place bets and get paid.
- Fewer state restrictions than most
- New customer deposit bonus
- Covers more tracks than any other site
- 2% cash back on all wagers
- Needs more handicapping features and tools
- Rewards and promos poorly explained
The WatchandWager website has a simple design and is light on features, but it covers a good deal of horse racing tracks. If you’ve had trouble signing up at other sites due to your location or if you like to bet on races hosted around the world, Watch and Wager may accept your business.
Watch and Wager is on the hunt for lots of new customers. Right now, the site is offering up to $150 in bonus money to every new customer. There are two different bonus tiers available depending on the size of your first deposit:
- Deposit $50 and Wager $50: Get a $50 bonus
- Deposit $150 and Wager $150: Get a $150 bonus
You may only get one of these bonuses, but you are allowed to combine multiple deposits to claim one. For example, you could sign up and deposit $50 today and $50 tomorrow to claim a $100 bonus. The bonus is released after you place a total sum of wager equal to the bonus amount. Using that $100 bonus again, you would be asked to place $100 worth of wagers before the money is released.
After you make your deposit(s), send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org to claim the bonus. You’ll have 60 days from the day you opened your account to meet the wagering requirements. Once you do, the money will be credited to your account with no further conditions.

WatchandWager.com Racing Betting Options
The real money betting options at Watch and Wager cover most of the world’s major horse and greyhound racing tracks. They offer more coverage than any other site at the moment. You can bet on races that take place in the United States, the UK, Australia, France, Canada, Ireland, Norway, New Zealand, Sweden and South Africa.
Thoroughbred horse racing makes up the majority of what they cover but they also offer harness racing, quarter horses and greyhounds. You can sort the list of available tracks by date, country, type of race and specific track. From there, you can select the individual event and may choose from all the same bets offered at the track.
WatchandWager.com has agreements with every track in its lineup to comingle bets taken online with those accepted at the track. In other words, the money you bet goes to the actual betting pool and you are paid at full track odds if you win.
The betting interface is organized in a manner that I found easy to use. Once you select a specific race, the website brings up a large betting are that shows participating horses and all available bets at that track. You can use a tab system near the top of the screen to move between different types of wagers such as straight-up bets on the winner, exotics, daily doubles, pick 3s and so on. Here’s an example from one race today:
WatchandWager Deposit Methods
Betting limits: $0.10 to $2500 depending on the track. Some tracks have lower maximum wager amounts.
Watch and Wager accepts three deposit methods at the moment with plans to offer more in the future. Right now, you can fund your account via credit or debit card, ACH transfer and check. Each deposit method comes with different minimums and maximums but all methods are free to use.
Credit Card: WatchandWager.com accepts only VISA at the moment. New customers can deposit a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $200 per day. Presumably you request higher maximum deposits but I haven’t yet tried it myself.
ACH: This is basically an e-check or direct transfer of funds from your bank to your betting account. If you choose this method, they’ll ask for your bank routing and account numbers. This method is easy to use and free, but there will be a wait of up to 5 business days before the transaction is cleared.
Check: For those who prefer to deposit the old-fashioned way, WatchandWager.com accepts paper checks in the mail. Visit the cashier, choose “check” and then save and print the deposit slip. Fill out your check, sign up and note your betting account number in the “memo” area on the check. Last, send the check and deposit slip to this address:
- Attn: WatchandWager
- 20 California St, 7th Floor
- San Francisco, C.A. 94111
WatchandWager Mobile Betting
Point your mobile device to www.watchandwager.com and the website will automatically format itself to your device. I’ve tried the website with my iPhone several times and found the mobile-friendly easy to use even if it was nothing special.
Customers on mobile may log in to their account, manage their finances and place real money bets on any of the day’s races. Live video isn’t yet available on the mobile interface but that should be coming soon. Here are a couple of screenshots from earlier today:
Accepted and Restricted States
WatchandWager accepts customers from more states than almost every other horse racing site but some states are still restricted. Here’s a list of the states that Watch and Wager DOES accept:
|New Mexico||North Dakota||Ohio|
|Rhode Island||South Dakota||Tennessee|
And here is a list of states that are NOT accepted:
|Nevada||New Jersey||New York|
|North Carolina||South Carolina||Texas|
The customer support team at Watch and Wager is easy to contact and responsive. While writing this review, I had a question to which I couldn’t find the answer online. I sent an e-mail to customer support on a Saturday evening and had a personal response roughly 15 minutes later.
Customer support normally wouldn’t be something I place high on my priority list because I don’t typically have many questions or problems with regulated betting sites. However, that quick response time was worth mentioning.
