Underdog Predict Review
Underdog Predict, also called โTeam Picks,โ brings prediction markets to the Underdog Fantasy app. With Team Picks, users can trade yes/no event contracts on game winners, point totals, player props, and select non-sports categories like Politics and Economics from within the Underdog Sports app.
Unlike most other prediction market platforms, Underdog Predict integrates event contracts directly into the existing Underdog Sports app. The integration is so seamless that users can even combine prediction market positions alongside fantasy pickโem selections into singular โComboโ entries.
- Available in 33 states
- Simplified prediction markets for sports
However, โseamless integrationโ isnโt without its downsides, and Underdog Team Picks are not the perfect fit for everyone. Continue below for our full Underdog Predict review for all the details, including where itโs available, the app experience, payment methods, and more.

Underdog Predict Bonuses & Promos
Underdog Predict does not offer a dedicated welcome bonus specifically for trading on its prediction markets.
However, new users may still claim Underdog Sportsโ widely advertised daily fantasy bonus when submitting fantasy pickโem entries.
The absence of a large welcome bonus is common among CFTC-regulated exchanges, which typically prioritize low fees and market liquidity over the aggressive marketing spend seen at traditional online sportsbooks.
Underdog Predict may eventually launch a welcome bonus and promotions for existing customers, but fans should manage their expectations. Even at prediction markets that offer welcome bonuses, itโs rare to encounter large incentives like the โbet and getโ promos that online sportsbooks typically offer.
How Underdog Sports Prediction Markets Work
The Underdog Sports app presents online prediction markets with moneyline-style odds, but the underlying mechanics are based on event contracts derived from Crypto.comโs event contracts.
In plain English, that means youโre buying โyesโ or โnoโ contracts on outcomes like whether Team X will win Sundayโs game. Contract prices range from $0.01 to $0.99 on the exchange, based on market demand.
For example, if Yes contracts on San Francisco to win are trading at $0.55, you can buy 100 contracts for $55. If San Francisco wins, your contracts will settle at $1 each for a total payout of $100 and a net profit of $45 before fees. If they lose, your contracts settle at $0 for a net loss of $55.
Contract prices fluctuate in real-time based on supply, demand, and market sentiment. If news breaks that San Franciscoโs starting quarterback is injured, the contract price might drop from $0.55 to $0.30 as the market reassesses their win probability. Changing prices create opportunities to exit positions early, either to lock in a profit or cut your losses.
Unlike a traditional order-entry screen, Underdog Predict emphasizes quick entry rather than detailed market depth. You choose a market, pick the side/outcome you want, set an entry amount, and confirm.
Underdog Predict Trading Fees
Neither the Underdog Predict app nor the official website details exactly how the platform calculates trading fees. In our experiences so far, Underdog Predict has charged a $0.02 fee per contract when buying or selling.
For example, if you purchase 100 contracts, youโll spend $2 on fees. Underdog Predict incorporates its fees into payout multipliers, meaning you donโt feel the fees at purchase. Instead, fees are deducted from the payout potential.
Compared to other trading platforms, Underdog Predictโs fees are quite reasonable. So far, it appears that Underdogโs fees do not scale up or down with contract prices or volume โ the Underdog Predict app always charges us a flat $0.02/contract fee.
Underdog Predict Market Categories

Underdog Predict divides its markets into two primary segments: sports and culture (Underdogโs catch-all label for all markets that arenโt sports).
The sports prediction markets cover major North American leagues and provide the most granular individual outcomes (spanning championships, individual games, and player performances).
Meanwhile, Underdogโs culture prediction markets extend into politics, entertainment, and economic events.
Underdog Predict Sports Markets
Underdog Predict offers prediction markets on the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football, college basketball, soccer, and tennis. Market types include:
- Outright Winners: Pick which team will win the game straight up. Contract prices reflect each team’s probability of victory. A Dallas vs. Philadelphia matchup might show Dallas at $0.58 and Philadelphia at $0.42, with the prices totaling $1.00.
- Point Spreads: Trade contracts on whether a team will cover the spread. If Carolina is listed at +3.5, they must win outright or lose by fewer than 4 points for “Yes” contracts to settle at $1. Conversely, if New Orleans is listed at -3.5, they must win by 4+ points for their “Yes” contracts to pay.
- Point Totals: Predict whether the combined score will exceed or fall short of a specified total.
- Player Props: Yes/No contracts on individual player performances, such as “Will Josh Allen rush for more than one touchdown?” Prediction player picks include rushing yards, passing yards, receiving yards, anytime touchdowns, and multiple touchdowns. These markets are not eligible for rescue features and are only available in states where fantasy player props are not offered.
- Futures: Long-term markets on season outcomes, such as NFL Championship Winner, NBA Champion, and Stanley Cup Winner, as well as individual awards including MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year. Futures contracts can extend weeks or months beyond single-game markets. Users cannot combine futures with other picks and must submit them as singles. Early cash-out is available based on current market pricing.
- 3-Way Markets (Soccer): Soccer markets include a third outcome: the draw. You can trade on Team A to win, Team B to win, or a tie. Each outcome has its own contract price summing to $1.00 across all three options.
Other Types of Underdog Prediction Markets
Underdog Predict also offers non-sports prediction markets in three major categories:
- Economy & Business: Markets include topics such as the best AI model this year, whether high-profile private companies will go public, Fed interest rate decisions, and US recession predictions.
- Entertainment: Underdogโs entertainment markets cover major awards such as the Grammys and the Oscars, spanning Album of the Year to Best Film Editing.
- Government & Politics: Political markets cover topics such as gubernatorial and Senate races, administration nominees, Congressional control, DNC/RNC nominees, and US Presidential elections.
Underdog Predict App Review

Underdog Predict is tightly integrated into the Underdog Sports app, so existing users will find it familiar, seamless, and natural. However, the lack of a standalone app or even a tab dedicated specifically to prediction markets might annoy users who want predictions only.
On one hand, itโs simple to open the app, select a league, and see available prediction markets. Thereโs also a โTeam Picksโ subcategory that provides a game-level view of available winner, point spread, and totals markets for all of the dayโs scheduled games.
Underdogโs approach is nice if you simply view the Underdog experience as โsports predictions for money.โ Since you can build Combo tickets that combine predictions with fantasy player props, thereโs no need to mentally separate one from the other.
If you donโt care whether your predictions are technically CFTC-regulated event contracts or simple pickโem entries, the blended interface is ideal for fans who just want to watch the game and make predictions without worrying about the complexities under the surface.
On the other, it is hard to tell where Underdogโs prediction markets end and fantasy pickโem projections begin. The Underdog Sports app tends to intermix exchange-traded predictions with pickโem entries. It can be confusing for anyone who wants just one (predictions) or the other (fantasy pickโem).
App Highlights
The Underdog predictions app makes it easy to find the key information you need at a glance. Tapping any open market shows your payout potential based on the number of contracts you want to purchase, and the app clearly displays your total risk + profit potential before you confirm any trade.
Real-time price updates work smoothly. Contract prices shift as market conditions change, with the app reflecting current pricing without noticeable lag. Swift pricing updates are critical for fans who want to react quickly to news or game developments that might create trading opportunities.
Early cash-out is accessible through the Track tab. The app displays your open positions with current market value, making it easy to lock in profits or cut losses before events conclude. The cash-out interface clearly shows the amount you’ll receive based on present contract prices.
Additionally, the Combo features allows fans to combine a prediction market contract with 2-8 fantasy picks in a single entry. The majority of the entry fee (90%) goes toward the prediction market contract, with 10% allocated to the fantasy component.
Notable Gaps
The app provides limited educational resources for users new to prediction markets. Although the help center provides basic explanations, the in-app experience assumes familiarity with probability-based contract pricing. Users accustomed to sportsbook odds may find the transition confusing initially.
Historical market data is not prominently displayed. You can see current prices and your open positions, but reviewing how contract prices have moved over time requires manual tracking.
Market depth information is minimal. The app doesn’t clearly display how many contracts are available at current prices or how liquid each market is. The lack of detailed order book info can lead to situations where larger trades move prices more than you might expect, particularly in less popular markets.
The inability to set limit orders is another significant limitation for experienced traders. All trades execute at current market prices. You cannot specify a target price and wait for the market to reach it.
Fee breakdowns remain opaque within the app interface. The displayed multiplier includes exchange fees, but there’s no itemized view showing exactly how much you’re paying in fees versus contract cost. The lack of transparency makes it difficult to compare true trading costs across platforms or evaluate whether you’re getting fair execution.
Overall App Verdict
The Underdog Predict app delivers functionality and all-in-one convenience for fans who value having prediction markets alongside fantasy sports in a single platform. The interface is intuitive enough for casual use, real-time pricing works reliably, and the early cash-out feature offers flexibility that sportsbook wagers typically don’t.
The gaps become more noticeable for users seeking a dedicated prediction markets experience. Limited order types, minimal market depth information, and sparse educational content put it behind standalone platforms built specifically for event contract trading.
If you’re already an Underdog user interested in exploring prediction markets, the integrated app is convenient. If prediction markets are your primary focus and you’re evaluating your options, the app’s limitations may justify exploring competitors.
Underdog Predict Deposit Methods
Underdog Predict accepts only three deposit methods:
| Deposit Method | Processing Time | Minimum Deposit | Fee |
| Debit Card | Instant | $10 | None |
| Apple Pay (linked debit cards only) | Instant | $10 | None |
| Trustly (ACH Bank Transfer) | Instant | $10 | None |
Underdog Predict processes transactions instantly, meaning you can begin trading immediately after confirming your deposit (barring any unexpected hiccups).
Note: Underdog does not charge any deposit fees, but your bank or payment processor may charge its own fees.
Underdog Predict does not yet support other deposit methods because prediction markets operate under CFTC oversight as derivatives trading, which carries different payment processing requirements than fantasy pickโem sports.
Underdog Predict Withdrawals
Withdrawing your funds from Underdog Predict is a straightforward process but involves a standard security review that can take 48 to 72 hours. The โprocessingโ delay is typical for regulated financial platforms to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering laws.
Once Underdog Predict processes a withdrawal request, the time it takes to receive the funds in your account depends entirely on the payment processor. That said, it typically happens within minutes of Underdogโs approval.
| Withdrawal Method | Fee | Processing Time |
| Trustly | None | 48-72 hours |
| Apple Pay | None | 48-72 hours |
| Venmo | None | 48-72 hours |
| PayPal | None | 48-72 hours |
| Paysafe | None | 48-72 hours |
Underdog Predict Customer Support
Customer support for Underdog Predict runs through the same support setup as the main Underdog app. For most people, the quickest option is the in-app live chat: log in, go to the Account tab, and tap โContact Support.โ
Response times can vary based on volume, but our test inquiry waited roughly five minutes before a human agent responded.
Email support is also available at support@underdogfantasy.com, but itโs slower than chat (often in the 24-48 hour range). Email tends to work better for non-urgent requests or when you need to send documentation thatโs awkward to share through chat.
The help center is worth checking before initiating a live chat or sending an email. Itโs searchable and covers basic topics like available market types, deposit methods, withdrawal times, and other common โhow does this work?โ questions.
Underdog also posts support-related updates on social channels (including @UDSupport on X/Twitter), but itโs not a dependable place to get personalized help. Most account-specific questions wind up getting redirected back to chat or email.
In terms of quality, support generally handles straightforward deposit/withdrawal questions and routine product issues fine. More technical topics, such as fees and settlement rules, can take longer and will usually require escalation. Based on typical responses, the team seems more fluent in Underdogโs fantasy products than the newer prediction markets feature, which tracks with how recently Predict launched.
Underdog Predict Responsible Trading
Underdog applies the same responsible participation framework to Predict that it uses across the rest of its platform. In the account settings menu, users can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits, cap overall spending, and set time limits for individual sessions. On the fantasy side, users can also set contest entry fee and contest count limits.
For traders who want to take a step back, Underdog also offers cooling-off periods and full self-exclusion. Cooling-off options allow you to step away for a defined period, while self-exclusion can be set for longer durations or permanently. Both are accessible directly in the app and activate immediately once selected.
In addition, Underdog publishes clear risk disclosures throughout the platform and in its marketing materials, consistently reinforcing that prediction markets carry financial risk.
The overall approach is consistent with what youโd expect from a regulated operator: practical tools, user-controlled limits, and straightforward messaging rather than reliance on manual intervention or customer support to make changes.
Underdog Predict FAQ
Expert Opinion: Is Underdog Predict Legit?
Underdog Predict is a legitimate prediction markets platform. The event contracts are offered through Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA), a designated contract market (DCM) and derivatives clearing organization (DCO).
The integration with Underdog’s established fantasy sports platform adds credibility. Underdog Sports has built a reputation over several years, and its daily fantasy arm holds licenses in multiple states.
However, “legitimate” doesn’t mean “perfect for everyone.” The platform works well for casual fans who want convenient access to prediction markets alongside fantasy sports, all within a familiar app interface.
The CFTC oversight provides regulatory protection, the early cash-out feature offers flexibility, and the range of sports and culture markets gives users diverse options.
The downsides matter more for serious traders. The fee structure lacks transparency – official documentation doesn’t clearly break down costs per contract or explain how fees scale with different market conditions.
In contrast, competing platforms provide explicit fee schedules that allow traders to easily compare platforms for pricing. The limited deposit methods is another drawback worth noting.
Bottom line: Underdog Predict is a legitimate option that works best for users who already use Underdog for fantasy sports and want prediction markets as a complementary feature. If prediction markets are your main focus, platforms built specifically for trading event contracts may offer better fee transparency and more advanced trading tools. Regulatory legitimacy is not in question; the decision comes down to whether Underdog Predict suits your approach to sports.
