FireKeepers Casino Launches Michigan Online Gambling App

FireKeepers approved for iGaming in Michigan

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has approved another tribal operator for online casino and sports betting services. This week, the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians became the 13th operator to gain approval to launch in the state. The tribe has teamed up with NYX Digital to provide services via its FireKeepers Casino Hotel brand.

FireKeepers Online Casino In Michigan Launched Quickly

FireKeepers online casino wasted no time launching in Michigan, going live soon after the announcement. The operator offers desktop and mobile operations with options for both Android and iOS devices. The online casino and mobile sportsbook are offered within the same platform, allowing players to switch from playing games to posting bets seamlessly.

The FireKeeps online casino features slots, table games, and floor favorites of the casino. Players can select a game category or search for titles via the search box. Currently, the casino has just over 70 titles to choose from.

FireKeepers offers odds on all major sports leagues in the sportsbook, including the NBA, MLB, NHL, and NFL. All sports categories are covered, including golf, motorsports, MMA, soccer, and tennis betting.

In a statement after the approval, FireKeepers CEO Kathy George said that the casino is happy to provide more entertainment to Michiganders.

“Guests can now enjoy the FireKeepers experience from the comfort of their own homes, or wherever they are within the state of Michigan.”

Gaming Casino Board Executive Director Henry Williams commented as well. Williams stated that the representatives of the tribe provided vital support to help develop the laws to allow Michigan federally recognized tribes to obtain licensing for online casino and sports betting services.

“Their participation will generate revenue to support K-12 education, economic development, and the Nottawaseppi Huron Band’s tribal community.”

Online gambling began in Michigan in early 2021, and the industry continues to grow as the board approves more operators.

Before the FireKeepers’ approval, the state’s Gaming Control Board gave the green light to several other tribes to begin sports betting and casino operations online. Major names are now in play thanks to agreements between operators and tribal groups.
