Parx Casino in Bensalem operates as the most successful land-based casino in Pennsylvania and is now expanding its reach with the launch of online gambling and sports betting.

Parx Mobile Sportsbook came to Pennsylvania in June 2019 and was followed by an online casino the next month after receiving approval from the Pennsylvania Gambling Control Board (PGCB) to offer three forms of online gambling:

  • Online slots
  • Online table games
  • Online poker

Later that year, extended its reach across state lines to offer online casino games in New Jersey after receiving approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).

Parx Casino now offers the following online gaming products in each state listed below.

Parx Mobile Sports Betting

Parx Online Sportsbook is open to customers 21 or older who are located within Pennsylvania state lines at the time of access. Note that it is not necessary to be a state resident; it is only necessary that you be physically present in PA when placing wagers and making deposits.

Wagers are accepted on a full range of college and professional sports:

The types of bets offered by Parx Online run the full range of standard pre-game wagers, props and in-play betting with thousands of markets open at any given time. On the very first day Parx Mobile went live, the full menu consisted of well over 10,000 individual wagers on all the major North American sports and a considerable number of international leagues.

A random sampling of the options includes moneylines, point spreads, point totals, player props, team props, first half lines, second half lines along with an active in-play betting menu covering multiple live events per day. In summary, the wagering options at Parx Online are comprehensive.

The betting odds offered by Parx Mobile have so far been in line with the industry average; sometimes you’ll find better lines at Parx and sometimes you’ll find better lines elsewhere. A third party B2B supplier called Kambi provides the odds and risk management services for Parx and a few other PA sportsbooks, but all Kambi clients are able to adjust lines independently as needed – which in turn provides some diversity from one sportsbook to the next.

Online betting offered at the Parx website and through mobile apps for Android/iOS devices.

The sportsbook itself is powered by software from GAN plc, which provides an interface that is clean and simple but not particularly feature-rich. The sportsbook loads quickly on multiple devices and features intuitive navigation that makes it a simple task to find specific leagues and wagers.

Where the interface comes up a bit short is extra features. The simplicity is nice from a navigation standpoint, but it would be nice to have quick access to some basic stats tools or live updates from within the in-play area. As it stands right now, Parx Sportsbook only offers a barebones betting experience.

Parx was actually among the first in Pennsylvania to launch a native iPhone betting app.

Parx Casino and every other operator had to scramble to provide an iPhone app thanks to a change in Apple policy that resulted in nearly every operator having to rebuild its app from scratch.

Apple’s policy change happened to occur just as the PA gambling market was going live, which resulted in most operators delaying the launch of an iPhone app. Now, everything is working as normal and iPhone users can visit the App store to get the app or visit Parx Here for a direct link to the official app.

Parx Sportsbook In-Play Betting

Parx Sportsbook offers in-play betting for major sports and maintains an active calendar of events. At any given time, there are bound to be multiple games to choose from with live betting market for each.

The options for each in-play event are extensive with live odds on standard pre-game markets (such as who will win and the point total) along with individual player props and “instant betting” markets that take in-play betting and turn it up a notch with very short term wagers (such as whether or not the current batter will strike out).

We have seen as many as 70 in-play markets for a single game and that seems likely to increase over time given Parx’s relatively recent entry into sports betting. One big miss here is a lack of live game updates on the Parx app; keeping up to date with what’s happening in the game requires a TV nearby or a visit to a different website.

Parx Sportsbook Bonuses

Parx Online offers two welcome bonuses for new customers. One will give you $10 free just for registering an account while the other promises a refund of up to $250 on your first wager if it loses.

Signing up for an account at Parx Sportsbook will get you an extra $10 as a welcome gift. You do not need to make a deposit to claim this offer; it will be added to your account after Parx has confirmed your age and location.

The bonus money itself cannot be withdrawn, but it can be used to place wagers and win money that may be withdrawn. Some of the major terms and conditions to note are that the bonus money must be used all at once on a single wager, it must be placed on an event with odds of -200 or greater and it must be used within 10 days.

Making a first deposit of $10 or more will activate the second welcome bonus, which is a refund offer of up to $250 on your first wager. This means if your first wager loses, Parx Casino will give you up to $250 in site credit as a consolation prize.

You can claim both bonuses at:

Parx Online Casino

The PGCB awarded an online gambling license to in August 2018 and then gave the green light for Parx and a handful of other casino sites to go live in July 2019. After several days of limited-hours testing, Parx Casino was cleared for 24/7 online and mobile gambling moving forward.

Parx Casino is partnered with gaming software company GAN plc to manage its online sports betting and casino operations. With the help of GAN, Parx Casino is able to draw on slots and other casino games from a multitude of third-party developers to give players a wide selection in game types.

Now that Parx Casino is live, players can visit to find a variety of slots and table games with more being added on a regular basis. The games selection was a bit light when Parx Casino was still getting up and running, but the games list is expanding rapidly and will in all likelihood rival New Jersey’s biggest online casinos that feature hundreds of games.

Use the promo code PARX500 when you make your first deposit to get an extra 100% up to $500 in bonus funds.

This means a $10 deposit will get you $10 extra while a $200 deposit will get you $200 extra and so on.

The minimum qualifying deposit is $10, and you will have to wager your original deposit 20 times to clear the bonus money for withdrawal. For example, if you deposit $100 and receive a $100 bonus, you will need to place wagers totaling $2,000 before withdrawing the bonus funds.

Players should also note that different games count differently towards meeting those wagering requirements. Wagers placed on slots count 100% while wagers on roulette count 50% and all other games only count 10%.

The Parx Casino bonus may look tempting at first glance, but this is an old-fashioned bonus by online standards that offers little actual value. The high wagering requirements and fact that only slots count fully toward the wagering requirements hurt the utility of this bonus.

Parx Casino Slots

Slots feature heavily in the games list at Parx Casino and number in the dozens as of this review. Games are provided by a number of providers including the likes of NetEnt and Konami alongside games developed in-house by GAN.

Some of the more well-known slots titles include Dead Or Alive, Gonzo’s Quest and Solstice Celebration. Players who have visited Parx Casino in person will be happy to see some of the very same slots from the casino floor offered for real money play at

Parx Casino still runs a social casino as well and the game selection there is significantly larger, and we imagine many of those will be converted into real money play as the PGCB continues to authorize more and more games. At this point, we’re still in the very early stages of online gambling in PA and there is still much to come in terms of game selection.

Parx Casino Table Games

Of the handful of online casinos that have launched in Pennsylvania to date, Parx Casino launched with the biggest variety of table games – but that’s not saying much because the PGCB has been slow to approve new games and most PA casinos are severely lacking on table games.

That being said, Parx Casino is definitely the best of the bunch when it comes to table games. Parx was the first to launch blackjack even as every other casino completely dropped the ball on what we would have thought would be the first table game anyone would launch.

Parx also offers American roulette, European roulette, EZ baccarat and jacks or better video poker. This isn’t exactly a giant selection, but it is the best among Pennsylvania’s online casinos. Live dealer games are not yet on offer, but the Parx Casino website says those are on the way as well.

Parx Mobile Casino

Parx Casino offers mobile apps for iOS and Android devices alike. The mobile experience is not much different than visiting from a desktop aside from minor cosmetic changes designed to take full of advantage of the limited screen real estate offered on mobile deices.

Parx Online Poker

Parx Casino holds an online poker license, but what form that will take is still shrouded in mystery. We know Parx Casino is partnered with GAN and Kambi for poker, but both companies are mostly known for sports betting. What type of poker solution they end up debuting remains to be seen.

Other major operators such as PokerStars, Partypoker and WSOP/888 are already teamed up with other casinos to launch online poker in PA. This means Parx Casino will be competing against some very big, very accomplished brands.

Parx Casino already houses the state’s biggest poker room with nearly 50 tables, but it will need to launch an impressive platform indeed if it hopes to carry its dominant real-world presence over to the digital realm. GAN, Kambi and Parx have their work cut out for them.

Parx Deposit Methods

Parx Casino Sportsbook launched with a standard array of deposit methods that are all fairly straightforward to use. These include:

  • Play+ Card: This is a prepaid card branded with the Parx Casino logo. You can register and fund it online the same day while waiting for a physical card to come in the mail. Once you have a physical card, you can use it to make purchases and withdraw cash from your casino account.
  • ACH eCheck: Send money straight from your bank account to your casino account. This method is simple, instant and does not require a credit card.
  • PayNearMe: PayNearMe works great if you don’t have a bank account or just have some cash you’d like to use to play online. Choose this option and you’ll receive a pay slip that you can take to a nearby 7-Eleven to pay in cash.
  • Cash at the Cage: You can also bring cash to Parx Casino in Philadelphia to fund your online account. Make sure to bring your account info and ID.
  • Bank Wire: Send a wire from your bank account to a bank account controlled by Parx Online. This option works best for very large deposits.

Parx Casino State-by-State Operations

Parx Casino is operated by Greenwood Racing, Inc., which is a privately-held company that operates exclusively in Pennsylvania. Although Parx Casino is well-known in Pennsylvania, the name holds little sway outside the state.

However, Parx Casino is live in two states, holds an online gaming license in Michigan, and may enter additional states moving forward.

Parx Casino holds a dominant position in the PA gambling market by revenue and is the most successful in the state. After Pennsylvania legalized online gambling, it was little surprise to see Parx take its wares online.

Parx Online accepts customers 21 and older, both residents and non-residents alike. However, customers need to be located within state lines to play for real money through the Parx Casino app.

In November 2018, online sports betting operator Kambi announced a partnership agreement to supply online and in-person sports betting services to Parx Casino. The contract is focused on Parx operations in Pennsylvania, but the press release did drop a hint about a possible NJ expansion.

From the press release, we learned the contract “also includes a provision for Kambi to support Greenwood Gaming with a potential sports betting operation in the neighboring state of New Jersey.”

Parx Casino did indeed end up launching in New Jersey less than a year later. In October 2019, Parx Online gained approval from the NJDGE to commence online gaming in partnership with Ocean Resort Casino.

Freehold Raceway opened a retail sportsbook powered by Parx Casino in September 2020.

Parx Casino is partnered with Gun Lake Casino to operate a retail sportsbook, Stage 131 Sportsbook & Lounge.

Parx Interactive also holds licenses to offer online sports betting and gambling in Michigan.
