The Hoosier State gained an additional mobile betting site today with the launch of BetMGM Indiana.
On Tuesday, the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) issued a mobile go live authorization notice granting BetMGM permission to commence online betting beginning today.
The notice states BetMGM “has substantially demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Commission that its mobile sports wagering operation meets the requirements of Indiana Code Article 4-38, the Commission’s Emergency Regulations, and all Commission Directives related to sports wagering activities.”
Indiana residents and visitors 21 or older can visit BetMGM at in.betmgm.com.
BetMGM Mobile-Friendly Website Up; Standalone Apps Still to Come
Standalone mobile apps for BetMGM Sportsbook are still to come in Indiana. In the meantime, desktop and mobile users alike can point their browsers to in.betmgm.com to bet online with no download needed.
Apple’s App Store allows mobile gambling apps developed by licensed operators and will eventually list BetMGM Indiana alongside apps the company has released for New Jersey and West Virginia.
Android’s Google Play Store does not allow gambling apps of any time, but users will be able to download the mobile app directly from the BetMGM website once the app is launched.

BetMGM Partnered with Belterra Casino Resort
BetMGM Sportsbook comes to the Indiana market by way of Belterra Casino Resort. Under state law, online providers such as BetMGM must acquire sports wagering vendor licenses (pg. 2) and partner with local land-based casinos for market access.
This is the second such partnership for Belterra Casino. Last year, Belterra and FanDuel partnered to launch a FanDuel-branded mobile app and retail sportsbook. Belterra Casino is operated by Boyd Gaming, which has partnerships in place with MGM Resorts International and the FanDuel Group.
BetMGM is operated by Roar Digital, which was formed as a joint partnership between the USA’s MGM Resorts International and international gaming operator GVC Holdings. The two partnered pledged an initial commitment of $100 million each, all dedicated to pursuing opportunities in regulated US sports betting and gaming markets.
Five Mobile Sportsbooks Now Live in Indiana

- DraftKings: $65,993,539 in handle
